About Me

From sweaty spin studios to kettlebell racks and now to yoga mats, my movement journey has always revolved around one thing: connection.

I was raised in the Midwest, where the winters are long and the hearts are warm, and eventually made my way west in search of sunshine, spirit, and maybe just a little less corn.

I’m Axel - former strength and conditioning coach turned yoga teacher.

Movement’s always been my thing, but these days, it’s less about the grind and more about the grounding.

I teach a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa with a healthy dose of anatomy, alchemy, and the occasional existential question.

My classes live at the intersection of muscle and magic, where biomechanics meet transformation and you’re just as likely to laugh as you are to sweat.

I teach it all: one-on-one sessions, private events, public classes. Whether it’s a slow, grounded burn or a breath-fueled flow, I’m here to help you feel more at home in your body, and maybe even enjoy the ride.

Rooted in community, inclusivity, and compassion, I like to keep things real, light-hearted, and intentional. We go deep, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Because at the end of the day, this work is about remembering who we are, why we’re here, and how damn sacred it is just to breathe.

Joy

Joy, to me, isn’t just a feeling, it’s a frequency.

It’s what bubbles up when we stop performing, stop proving, and start being.

It lives in the messy middle, in the soft edges, in the tiny moments we almost missed.

Joy isn’t the absence of pain, it’s the permission to feel it all and still choose light.

It’s radical. It’s rebellious. It’s ours.

Community

Community is the whole point.

It’s why we move together, breathe together, sit in the same room and feel each other.

Because something powerful happens when we gather, We remember we’re not separate.

Not from each other. Not from our bodies. Not from this moment.

I don’t teach yoga to help people escape, I teach to help them return.

To themselves. To each other.

To that deep-down knowing that we belong. That we’re part of something bigger.

Community is sacred.

It’s what holds us when we forget, and celebrates us when we remember.

It’s the space where healing happens - collectively, breath by breath.

Growth

Encouraging growth is at the heart of my philosophy.

But not the kind of growth that’s rooted in pressure or perfection. I’m talking about growth that invites us to slow down. To soften.

To get curious, get messy, and stay open to what’s possible, even when it’s uncomfortable.

This practice is a container for transformation, not because it changes who we are, but because it helps us remember. Rebuild. Reclaim.

Growth, to me, means allowing ourselves to evolve at our own pace.

To move with integrity, not urgency.
To meet our edges with courage and our hearts with compassion.
