September.
There's something about September. The air is changing here in the foothills. The days are getting a little shorter. The nights are finally cooling off. Summer is slowly making space for fall, and I can feel myself doing the same. I've always loved change. Maybe it's a Pisces thing, but I've never been one to settle. I've always been a seeker. Seeking what opportunities are out there. Manifesting while also doing the work. Dreaming big, but understanding that dreams ask somet

Adios, Julio
Hi friends, I came across these words from creator K. Tolne recently, and they stayed with me. "Goodbye July. Thank you for sitting with me while I caught my breath. For touching your sun on me as I regained my strength. For letting your little birds guide me on my way. Thank you for taking my hand and returning me to myself." That felt a lot like my July. This month held incredible highs and some deep valleys in between. It brought opportunities beyond anything I could have

Big Queer Joy in the Jungle
Liberation, Expansion, Integration I'm back in California, at the ranch, sitting on my favorite rock next to Sharon, our Boston. A place I like to come to meditate, breathe, pause, and reflect. I woke up this morning with a lot of feelings. Experiencing touches of sadness to no longer be in the jungle Missing the "Good mornings" and "How'd you sleep?" from my new friends. The morning hugs and shoulder rubs. I found myself all over again at Qasa. Or maybe a different version

It's Been Awhile.
Hi friends, Soooo, it's been a little while. The last letter I sent was back in April, and somehow the months have flown by. So much has happened since then that it almost feels like another lifetime. One of the greatest highlights was getting to teach Queer Bodies, Sacred Spaces at the Bend Yoga Festival. Standing in that room surrounded by queer people choosing to practice together, laugh together, breathe together, and simply exist together was something I'll carry with me

A season of growth, community, and building what’s next.
Hi friends (and hello April!) The light lingers longer, the hills start to green, and the world feels like it’s stretching itself awake again. There’s a kind of momentum in the air right now. Not rushed, but undeniable. Like something is ready to grow. I’ve been feeling that in my own life too. These past few weeks have been full in the best kind of way. More time on the land. More moments of quiet. More space to listen to what’s actually asking to be built next. The Tilted H

March Magic
Hi friends, March always arrives with a subtle shift in the air. The days stretch a little longer, the ground begins to soften, and something in the body remembers that change is coming. This year that feeling feels especially close to home. On March 12th I turn 33. Each year of my life seems to reveal a little more magic than the last. Not always in loud or obvious ways, but in quieter moments. In the way my relationship with the world keeps deepening. In the way the path ke

February with Axl Yoga | Returning Light, Steady Hearts
Hello dear ones, February arrives softly, carrying the quiet promise of return. The days are slowly stretching, the light lingering just a little longer, and beneath the surface, something is beginning to stir. This month is an invitation to move with patience and intention. To tend the inner fire without rushing it. To honor the pause as much as the push. To remember that growth doesn’t always shout, sometimes it hums. In practice this month, we’ll explore steadiness and dir
