I’ve been feeling a little homesick lately.

I miss my guys back home. I miss familiarity. I miss the people and places that have held me through so many different versions of myself.

But that old saying, “absence makes the heart grow fonder,” really is true.

And alongside the homesickness, there’s a lot of gratitude.

I’m grateful to be here doing work that fills my cup. I’m grateful to support a friend I deeply believe in and to pour some of what I’ve learned over the years into his studio.

There’s something really special happening at The Heart here in Florida. I believe in what they’re building, and honestly, I don’t think there’s anything quite like it out here.

Recently, I took part in a sacred plant medicine sound journey. I went in without much expectation, and what surprised me most was how still it was. How grounded.

The message that kept finding its way back to me was simple: I am exactly where I’m meant to be. Which feels especially meaningful right now.

I’ve always been a runner, a seeker, a dreamer.

I run toward opportunities. I seek expansion. And I dream of a life built on a foundation of love.

Sometimes that means going far from home. Sometimes it means saying yes before I know exactly where the yes is taking me. And sometimes it means realizing that missing something doesn’t necessarily mean you’re supposed to go back to it. You can miss home deeply and still know you’re meant to be where your feet are.

So, that’s where I am right now.

And after three whole weeks away from teaching, I’m finally back this week. Which might actually be the longest I’ve gone without teaching in years lol.

But it has been sooo good to be a student again.

To practice without needing to lead. To listen instead of speak. To remember what it feels like to show up, roll out my mat, and let someone else hold the space.

I think I needed that more than I realized.

As for FYS, I’m getting back into a rhythm this week too. Keep an eye out for more mini IG videos and a new YouTube series. And PLEASE send me requests. Tell me what hurts, what feels weird, what you want to understand, or what you want me to Fix Your Shit about. (And Mom, yes, the chair yoga video is coming.)

WHAT I’M READING

I’m currently making my way through Tantra Illuminated and really enjoying the deeper dive into Tantric philosophy, specifically Nondual Śaiva Tantra.

There’s something beautiful about returning again and again to the reminder that the divine isn’t somewhere outside of us waiting to be found.

It’s here. In this life. In this body. In all of it.

Anyway, there aren’t a ton of big updates this month.

Mostly I just wanted to share what’s been on my heart.

I miss home. I’m grateful to be here. I’m excited to teach again. I’m learning. I’m listening.

I’m still following the little threads of curiosity that seem to keep pulling me toward whatever is next.

Peace and Love,

Axel
