Adios, Julio

Hi friends,

I came across these words from creator K. Tolne recently, and they stayed with me.

"Goodbye July.

Thank you for sitting with me

while I caught my breath.

For touching your sun on me

as I regained my strength.

For letting your little birds

guide me on my way.

Thank you for taking my hand

and returning me to myself."

That felt a lot like my July.

This month held incredible highs and some deep valleys in between. It brought opportunities beyond anything I could have imagined, while also shining a bright light on the things that are no longer meant to come with me.

It reminded me how deeply human all of this really is.

People doing their best. Longing to be seen. Queer joy. Honest conversations. Growth. Expansion.

Eudaimonia.

Not happiness in the fleeting sense, but the quiet fulfillment that comes from living in alignment with who you are.

What a gift.

Somewhere in the middle of all of it, I found a new version of myself. Or maybe an older, truer one that had been waiting patiently beneath the noise.

I'm stepping into what's next with big dreams, low expectations, and high hopes.

As August begins, I welcome it with grace, curiosity, and an open heart.

Looking Ahead

Tahoe Yoga Festival | August 2 and 3

This weekend I'll be assisting my teacher, Janet Stone, at Tahoe Yoga Festival. Every opportunity to learn from Janet reminds me why I fell in love with this practice in the first place. I'm grateful to be back in her presence.

Fort Lauderdale | August 6 through 10

Next week I'm headed to Florida to spend some quality time with my brother Adam Cole and see everything he's been creating at The Heart.

If you're in the area, come practice with me.

Friday: Deep House Flow

Sunday Evening: Ease Into Backbends

The Heart Yoga Studio:https://www.theheartyoga.com/

Lodi Yoga Festival | August 14 through 16

I'm so excited to be presenting at Lodi Yoga Festival this year.

Saturday at 11:30 AM I'll be teaching Foundations of Flight, an arm balance workshop designed to help you build confidence from the ground up.

Then Saturday evening we'll turn the music up for After Flow, a yoga dance party that promises to be equal parts movement, sweat, and joy.

New Classes

I'm excited to officially join the teaching team at Peace Yoga & Pilates.

You can now find me there every:

Thursday at 8:30 AM

Saturday at 9:00 AM

for Infrared Vinyasa Flow.

I'd love to see some familiar faces.

FYS is Here

This one feels really special.

After more than ten years of teaching movement, coaching, studying anatomy, practicing yoga, exploring breathwork, and simply living in this body, I'm finally bringing it all together.

Introducing FYS.

Fix Your Shit.

Because movement isn't about chasing perfection. It's about feeling better in your body so you can go live your life.

You'll find mobility, strength, yoga, breathwork, tutorials, movement breakdowns, and plenty of honest conversations along the way.

No fluff.

Just practical movement for real people living real lives.

New videos will be dropping every week on YouTube.

Let It Move You

I've also put together a new playlist that's been carrying me through practices, drives, and quiet mornings.

Maybe it'll find you at the right moment too.

A Word for August

Expansion.

Not because we always need to become more.

But because sometimes expansion looks like taking up the space you've been shrinking yourself to fit inside.

May we move through this month with compassion.

May we stay curious.

May we remember that growth isn't always loud.

Sometimes it's simply returning to ourselves.

See you on the mat, on the trail, in the sauna, at a festival, or somewhere in between.

With love,

Axel

It's Been Awhile.

Hi friends, Soooo, it's been a little while. The last letter I sent was back in April, and somehow the months have flown by. So much has happened since then that it almost feels like another lifetime.
